Time just keeps marching along. Somehow it’s March already, and this month’s edition of Pikes Peak Parent is on virtual and brick-and-mortar newsstands (and inserted in most Gazettes) today. But time doesn’t exactly fly by for the subjects of this month’s cover story: women who find ways to survive prescribed bed rest during pregnancy.
Sure, it may sound like fun to be required to put your feet up and take it easy, making your spouse do all the household chores, but the mothers writer Heather McDonnell spoke to related how truly frustrating bed rest can be.
Lyndsey Denny, who was on bed rest for more than three months “learned to cross-stitch, read books, wrote letters, spent time online using a laptop, checked e-mail, made phone calls, read the bible, prayed and talked to doctors while she was on bed rest. ‘And then it was only noon,’ she says.”
